Today, has been mighty exciting, if I say so myself. I thought today was going to be a easygoing day off from school, but oh how I was fooled. My lovely officers and myself had a meeting at Haley's house to finalize decorations for prom. I thought this would be simple, and lasting no time at all. Boy was poor ole Shelby wrong. The meeting started at 12:30, and I did not leave until 4:50. The adventure in this was the putting together of a cardboard city skyline, that was donated for us to use for prom. Our theme deals with the city, and we were thankful for this contribution. It had been used at a party about 3 years ago, and when we started putting together this massive 12' work of art, it took a LOT of time. The pieces were not matching up, and we were beyond frustrated. This task we assumed would take 30 minutes, took us a hour and a half. Oh the joys. Then we had to organize it, that way the day before prom when we are setting up, it will take us no time at all. I am thankful for my girls, and all the hard work and effort they put in today. I am positive that prom will be beautiful and classy. Next! I get home from the longest meeting of my life, with a killer headache. Mom very nicely reminds me of a baby shower I am supposed to attend with her in about 40 minutes. I had not remembered this conversation about me going, therefore, I had spend all day with my hair up, wearing basketball shorts and a T-Shirt. I had no time to shower, so I put on a cute outfit, pulled my hair into a bun, and tied a ribbon around it. How about my mad skills. ;) After the baby shower, mom tells me that we need to go to Wal-Mart. I was okay with this, because I always love the random stuff we end up buying. We get our shopping done, and think of my father. He has been craving Apple Fritters(a kind of donut) like crazy lately, so we thought we would be nice and get him some. We go over, and mom goes to open the door that has the Apple Fritters behind it and this old man says to her, "Can you at least wait until I'm done?" He said it very rudely, and we were astonished by the audacity of this old man. It's not like we were even in the same donut cabinet as him! We walked away, and went back once the old meanie was gone. Well, that was only part of my adventures, I'll share more the next time I blog.

Gotta love old people! Sounds like you are right on top of things with prom! I should recruit you to plan girls camp for me!
