21 things about me at 21.

Hey, friends! I posted this post last year about 20 things about me at 20 years old so it would only be right for me to do the same things about myself this year! Without further delay... 1. I feel the need to put peanut butter on everything. Call me crazy, I go through so much peanut butter a week. 2. I love my hair being short. I feel like it's a perfect fit for myself and my personality. 3. Brownies are my favorite treat and they can make everything better. 4. I am obsessed with Netflix. 5. I am in love with J.Crew pencil skirts. 6. I wear my fossil watch every single day. I got it for my birthday last year and I love it. 7. My Valentine's Day decorations are still up and I am not ashamed. 8. I love diet coke. Somethings never change. I especially like it "dirty." 9. I am the Relief Society Secretary for my church. 10. Big things are happening!

I've been SO hesitant to blog lately due to the fact that in the past 4 days my life has done a complete 360. I am loving this journey of life. I love the fact that I had my life laid out the way I wanted it to be, and then on a whim it changed drastically. Over these last few days I have learned how important it is to trust in God and to know that he loves me. I am so happy with where my life is headed (I'll share more soon!).

My Decision to Teach

I never wanted to be a teacher, but I always knew I would be one. It was in High School volunteering in a classroom when I realized that I did want to be a teacher. I wanted the thrill of creating my own classroom and then having 20+ little faces walk in on the first day with their eyes and minds just as excited as mine. I wanted the assurance of a profession where I knew that I could make a difference and that I could do my part to make the world a better place. I remember the teachers in my life that made a difference. Those teachers who knew who I was and what I was capable of even when I didn't see it myself. I also remember those teachers who didn't make a difference. It was those teachers that made me dislike certain subjects and made me doubt my intelligence and my ability to succeed. When I decided to choose teaching as the career I would do for the rest of my life I made a promise to myself to be the best I could be. I made a promise to be patient, kind, encouraging
