It's the most wonderful time of the year.

Folks,
It's been an interesting year. I'm sad to see 2014 coming to an end, but looking at my life and the photos on my iPhone I am grateful this year happened. In 2014 here are the 14 most significant things that have happened in my life:

1. I decided to "fast-track" my career by taking classes through Spring/Summer terms.
2. I interviewed in front of 20 principals and received an internship.
3. I had my first day as an official 2nd grade teacher.
4. I bought a car!
5. I threw two parties for my roommates (Back to School & Halloween).
6. I ate Zaxby's in UTAH.
7. I moved twice.
8. I sent a package to my parents.
9. I went to three plays at the Hale Center Theater: Les Miserables, Catch Me If You Can, and The Christmas Carol.
10. I had the flu.
11. I turned 21.
12. I made "Teacher Friends."
13. I taught/still teach Old Testament for Sunday School.
14. I scratched my new car.

Sadly, those are in no order. My thoughts were pretty scattered. 2015 will prove to be a very impressive year because I'll graduate COLLEGE!

A Letter to Asher Rae.

Baby Asher, Your momma is currently in labor and in a few hours you'll make your grand debut into this world. From the moment I knew you were coming I was in shock and how much my heart could grow. I work with sweet children all day and I love them so much. The love I already have for you is so different. You'll be the first grandchild of my parents, and you'll be my first ever niece. You're coming into a world that is incredibly hard and difficult. With your amazing parents in your life you'll be taught how to be strong and to be valiant in all circumstances. Your dad, my brother, is an excellent human being. He is dedicated, he is a dreamer, he is a hard worker, and he will be the most amazing father. Your mom is so beautiful. She is loving, she is patient, and she loves your dad so much. Your grandma, my mom, is SO excited for you. She will love you and spoil you, but she will also help you when things get hard. Your Grandma Forsyth is a tough woman. The toughes...

COVID

The world of COVID-19 has been a world I never imagined possible. While this time has taken away so many things I am grateful for the things it has given me. I've found my new normal and for someone who loves structure that has been a huge relief. I don't feel the need to do as much. I don't feel as rushed. I dropped my ipad on the tile today and cracked the screen pretty badly and I didn't even cry. Things have become things and my trips to Target don't seem as crucial anymore. I've been sewing. I thank my grandmas and my aunts for their love of sewing that is now ingrained on my heart. I watch a lot of TV. I do a lot of cooking. Who knew?

Three Days, Two Years

In three days, you can cram for a exam. In three days, you can drive halfway across the United States. In three days, you can get a decent summer tan. In three days, you can have a fight with a friend, and makeup. In three days, you have almost gotten through half of a week. In three days, you can teach your dog a new trick. In three days, you can change a life. In three days, someone can change yours. In two years, you can receive a college diploma. In two years, you can train for, and run a marathon. In two years, you can reach a goal. In two years, you can serve a full time mission. In two years, I'll have graduated from High School. In two years, I'll be finishing up my AA at the community college. In two years, I'll start applying for a University. In two years, I might have a better idea on what I want to do in life. In two years, I'll be making my own money. In two years, my weight will have changed. In two years, life will be different. This week has been crazy...
